Announcements:

• From our VPE, Elaine Callahan’s reminder. Please bring your manual to the meeting whenever you are scheduled to speak, so your evaluator can fill out it properly. Have the vice president education initial the "Project Completion Record" on page 80 after you complete each project. This will give you credit toward your Competent Communicator (CC) certificate (please have title and date filled out).

•The next Executive Committee Meeting will be on Oct. 24 after regular meeting. All members are welcome.

• Dogwood’s fall trip to Callaway Gardens will be on Nov. 1st. Please contact Ellery Mclanahan for details.

• Annual Opera Day will be on Nov. 11 this year. Please contact Hal Platt or Kevin Dew for more information.

• Dogwood annual reading contest will be held on Dec. 5, 2009. Anything up to five minutes in length is acceptable.

• Please contact Edwinna Spivey if you would like to serve as an officer for the new term.
