Sep 6 - Results of the Area 85 contests

Both of our representatives, Ron and Jerry, did us proud! Thom and I were there to cheer them on.

Ron came in second in the area humorous speech contest with his speech about his dog's "Adventure at the Vet". Personally, I think Ron should have won, but then I did not agree with the judges on their choice in another area's humorous speech contest either.

Jerry won the area evaluation contest . . . and this time I DID agree with the judges. Jerry gave a top-notch evaluation of a humorous speech and, true to his Dogwood training, offered excellent suggestions for improvement.

Please join me in letting both Ron and Jerry know how much we appreciate their representing Dogwood.
