I could not sleep when I got Edwinna's e-mail last night bearing the exciting news. Our website, dogwoodtoastmasters.org, won First Prize! The District 14 website has this picture of Edwinna and Josephine proudly holding up the Certificate.

I want to acknowledge Rajnish, Tom, Yolande, Hal, and Dr. Gee for their help and suggestions in making possible our digital transformation and improved web presence.

What a team we have! Congratulations on the well-deserved award. I figure if Dogwood TM were a corporation we have the collective talent to do...who knows what!? But I am sure it would be impressive. I missed the award ceremony but I saw the Humorous Speech Contest where Dave Biloz won. Dave practiced his speech at Dogwood a few weeks ago. When I spoke with him before the contest, he mentioned how helpful his evaluation from Ann Maize was for him. Apparently he practiced the speech a lot at other clubs in the intervening weeks, to his credit. He got an amazing number of laughs and his story line was easy to follow. Throughout all the laughs he kept a straight face, which made it even funnier. He got laughs when he wasn't even expecting them, and still kept his composure, and that was impressive, too. Of the ten contestants, all were funny but I counted four exceptional presentations, so the competition was tough. -John C.
The website does look great! It is also #1 on Yahoo for Atlanta Toastmasters and #4 on Google.
Please put the splash news also onto the homepage of the club! Congratulations to our webmasters! And Dogwood Toastmasters website comes in top 3 when searching "Atlanta Toastmaster". What an excellent job!!! - Tom
